The artist/owner of Lone Star Forge is Paul Matthaus. He is an immigrant who got his initial training in working with metals in Germany prior to coming to America. He has been doing blacksmith work for over 40 years.

Paul's training enables him to work with all kinds of metals. He hand makes bowls, candle holders including unity candles, clocks, crosses, fireplace tools, home decor, southwestern pieces, tables of all sizes, wall hangings and yard art.
